Dangerous Goods Training Services is a member of the IATA Accredited Training School Network and a New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority approved Part 141 Airline Training Organisation. We are also approved by MAF Biosecurity New Zealand to provide training courses for Accredited Persons unloading shipping containers.View training courses here.
A range of training courses covering dangerous goods transportation by air, road and sea are available in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Specialist cargo loading and restraint courses can also be scheduled in those centres. These courses will be conducted in our modern environment by experienced trainers with extensive industry knowledge. A feature of the training is that it will apply a unique, hands-on, practical approach using the full resources of the DGM organisation.
In addition to our published schedule Dangerous Goods Training Services can also offer all our training courses on an in-house basis, designed to meet your needs.
About the Tutor
DGM’s Training Manager, Russell Hay, has been involved in the cargo industry since 1976 and, in his previous position with Air New Zealand, was responsible for training courier, road transport and airline operations staff in the handling and processing of cargo. He also represented the airline regularly at IATA Dangerous Goods Board meetings. A significant portion of this training was allocated to the carriage of dangerous goods and Russell has become an acknowledged expert in this field.
Russell is an accomplished presenter and has addressed conferences in Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. He is the current Chairman of the New Zealand Dangerous Goods Air Transport Council.
