SUMMARY:Comprehensive Chemical HSWA Training
DESCRIPTION:Delivered in partnership with Environmental Resources Limited this course provides training for sites with multiple HSNO Classifications (2\, 3\, 4\, 5\, 6\, 8) in line with the Hazardous Substance Regulations that came into effect on 1st December 2017.  Any staff who handle\, store or use hazardous substances\, regardless of the quantities\, will now require to be trained under Regulation 4.5.\n\nFor sites with Class 6: Toxic Substances 6.1A and/or 6.1B\nThe Comprehensive Chemical HSWA training does not provide HSWA Certified Handler Certification\, however Comprehensive Chemical HSWA training is a prerequisite to become a HSWA Certified Handler. This can be discussed with the trainer when attendee is at the Comprehensive Chemical HSWA training. \nVenue:\nTraining is taking place at Dangerous Goods Management\, 39 Richard Pearse Drive\, Airport Oaks. \n\n\nWho should attend:\nThis course is designed for sites with multiple classifications such as:\n–  Inwards goods handlers (warehousing/retailing)\n–  Manufacturers\n–  Disposal \nKey Topics:\n–  Inwards goods handlers (warehousing\, retail\, etc)\n–  Manufacturers\n–  Disposal \nDocumentation and pre-course requirements:\n–  All course material is supplied\n–  Attendees to this course will be required to show a form of photo ID at the course (driver’s licence\, passport or 18+ card). \nProvisions:\n–  Detailed workbook\, pen and paper will be supplied.\n–  Refreshment and lunch provided as part of this course. \nCertificate awarded:\nOn successful completion of this course attendees will be issued the following certification:\n–  HSWA Comprehensive: Certificate of Training – Validity of Certification 36 months (3 years) \nAssistance:\nPlease advise our team (in confidence) before the start of the course of any physical or learning difficulties you\, or in the case of employers\, your employee\, may have e.g impairments with mobility\, visual\, hearing and/or speech\, or difficulty in reading and writing. If trainees have difficulties during the course they should not hesitate to talk to the training facilitator. \nCancellation/transfer terms:\n–  Should a course transfer be required\, this will be provided free of charge for the first transfer only\, ensuring advised prior to 7 days before the course.  All subsequent transfers for a course booking will result in a $50+GST administration fee under the same conditions.  Course attendance must be completed within six months of the initial booking.\n–  Cancellations or course transfers made on or after 24 March 2026 will be subject to a $200+GST cancellation/transfer fee. Cancellations/transfers within 48 hours of the course date or non-attendance\, once registered\, will incur full course cost.\n–  DGM endeavour to ensure all courses proceed\, however should re-scheduling of a course become necessary\, participants will be informed as soon as possible to minimise any inconvenience.

SUMMARY:Flammable Gas and Liquids Chemical HSWA training
DESCRIPTION:This half day course is compliant with the Hazardous Substance Regulations 2017 Regulation 4.5\, and is designed for sites with only Class 2.1: Flammable Gases and/or Class 3: Flammable Liquids\, and is delivered in partnership with Environmental Resources Limited.  The previous concept of Approved Handler was replaced with Regulation 4.5 and from 1st December 2017 the Health and Safety Work Act places responsibility on everyone who handles\, stores or uses hazardous substances\, regardless of the quantities\, to now be trained under Regulation 4.5.  \nEvent time/Venue:\nThis course commences at 9.00am and finishes at approximately 12.30pm.\nTraining takes place at Dangerous Goods Management\, 39 Richard Pearse Drive\, Airport Oaks. \nWho should attend:\nThis course is designed for sites with only Class 2.1: Flammable Gases and/or Class 3: Flammable Liquids\, such as:\n–  Spray painting type operations\,\n–  Warehousing and distribution\,\n–  LPG only sites (Swappa bottles\, forklift cylinders\, etc)\, and\n–  Service stations. \nDocumentation required:\nAttendees are required to present a form of photo ID at the course (drivers licence\, passport or 18+ card).  Additionally attendees must also provide a clear colour photocopy of this documentation.  Attendees can either:\n–  Provide their identification on arrival to the course and our administration team will arrange a scan of this identification for filing\, or\n–  E-mail a clear colour photocopy of their identification to the administration team (online registrations will receive an email from our team after registration). \nProvisions:\nDetailed workbook\, pen and paper will be supplied. \nCertificate awarded:\nOn successful completion of this course a certificate will be issued:\n–  Certificate of Training – validity 36 months (3 years). \nCourse refreshments:\nMid-morning refreshments are provided as part of this course. \nAssistance:\nPlease advise our team (in confidence) before the start of the course of any physical or learning difficulties you\, or in the case of employers\, your employee\, may have e.g impairments with mobility\, visual\, hearing and/or speech\, or difficulty in reading and writing.
