DESCRIPTION:Dangerous Goods Management presents this 1-Day Dangerous Goods course which is approved by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (Civil Aviation Rule (CAR) Part 141).  Personnel responsible for shipping of infectious and biological substances by Air as per IATA DGR Section 1.5 and in accordance with CBTA approach for function 7.1. \nTarget audience:\n– This course is designed for shippers of Infectious and Biological substances by Air – Category A & B.\n– Students will be exposed to class exercises and case studies\, practical shipment and document exercises and a final (theoretical/practical)\nassessment. \nKey topics:\n–  Confidently apply the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR)\n–  Understand shipper’s and operators’ responsibilities\n–  Identify and comply with state and operator variations;\n–  Classify infectious substances\, dry ice\, and diagnostic specimens\n–  Understand and apply the information contained in the list of dangerous goods( IATA DGR\, section 4.2);\n–  Apply the general packing requirements and specific packing instructions;\n–  Correctly mark and label the package;\n–  Complete a shipper’s declaration for dangerous goods by air freight and the applicable portion of the air waybill. \nDocumentation required:\nAttendees to this course will be required to show a form of photo ID at the course (driver’s license\, passport or 18+ card).  For Dangerous Goods Management to comply with CAA Part 141 Accreditation\, we are required to retain proof of identity for students undertaking training.  This will be copied on arrival and retained in our training records for auditing. \nProvisions:\n– Detailed workbook\, pen and paper will be supplied\n– Refreshments and lunch (please advise if attendee has any specific dietary requirements)\n– Free on site parking \nCourse renewal:\nA Shippers of Infectious Substances by Air Course certificate\, endorsed by IATA and CAA of New Zealand\, is awarded to participants on successful completion of this course. DESCRIPTION:This IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) for Processing or Accepting Dangerous Goods Consignments 7.3 Recurrent 3 day course which is approved by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (Civil Aviation Rule (CAR) Part 141) – Personnel responsible for Processing or Accepting dangerous goods consignments as per IATA DGR Section 1.5 and in accordance with CBTA approach for Function 7.3. This recurrent training course will expose students to class exercises and case studies\, practical shipment and document exercises and a final (theoretical/practical) assessment. \nPrerequisites:\nTo be eligible to attend the IATA DGR Recurrent training course Participants must hold a current IATA DGR certification at date of training.   Participants can attend Recurrent training within the final three months of validity of their previous certification\, and the validity period extents from the month on which the recurrent training was completed until 24 months from the expiry month of that previous training.  If your certificate is older than 24 months please register for the IATA DGR initial course. \nTarget audience:\nThis course is designed for:\n–  Shippers and Packers\n–  Manufacturers and Exporters of Dangerous Goods or Products Containing Dangerous Goods and Operators\n–  Freight Forwarding Staff acting as shippers\n–  Shippers\, cargo agents\, consolidators\, freight forwarders and others preparing dangerous goods shipments for air freight. \nDocumentation required:\nAll course material is supplied\, excluding calculators and the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations\, 67th Edition.  If you are unable to bring your own copy of the current IATA DGR to course these are available for hire ($75+GST – see optional tickets for purchase below) or purchase here.  Limited copies are available for hire.\nAttendees are required to present a form of photo ID at the course (drivers licence\, passport or 18+ card).\nAdditionally attendees must also provide a clear colour photocopy of this documentation\, for Dangerous Goods Management to comply with CAA Part 141 Accreditation\, we are required to retain proof of identity for students undertaking training.  Attendees can either:\n–  Provide their identification on arrival to the course and our administration team will arrange a scan of this identification for filing\, or\n–  E-mail a clear colour photocopy of their identification to the administration team (online registrations will receive an email from our team after registration). \nCertificate awarded:\nAn IATA Certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course and an assessment to participants who obtain a grade of 80% or higher on the exam.  A special distinction is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 90% or higher. DESCRIPTION:This IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) for Processing & Accepting Dangerous Goods Consignments 7.3 Initial 5 day course which is approved by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (Civil Aviation Rule (CAR) Part 141) – Personnel responsible for processing or accepting Dangerous Goods Consignments as per IATA DGR Section 1.5 and in accordance with CBTA approach for Function 7.3. This course will expose students to class exercises and case studies\, practical acceptance exercises and document exercises and a final (theoretical/practical) assessment. \nTarget audience:\nThis course is designed for:\n–  Personnel who are responsible for accepting & perform cargo acceptance of dangerous goods consignments\n–  Personnel working for cargo agents\, consolidators and freight forwards who are responsible for processing dangerous goods consignments from shippers to airlines\n–  IATA Cargo agent applicants willing to fulfill the training requirements for DGR \nProvisions and course refreshments:\n– Detailed workbook\, pen and paper will be supplied.\n– Refreshments and lunch are provided as part of this course.  Dietary requirements can be catered for within the provided lunch ensuring this is advised upon booking.  The following dietary requirements can be catered for: dairy free\, gluten free\, no pork/beef\, and vegetarian.\n– Free on site parking\, first come first served basis. Additional roadside parking available. \nWhat to bring:\nAll course material is supplied\, excluding calculators and the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations\, 67th Edition.  If you are unable to bring your own copy of the current IATA DGR to course these are available for hire ($75+GST – see optional tickets for purchase below) or purchase here.  Limited copies are available for hire.\nAttendees are required to present a form of photo ID at the course (drivers licence\, passport or 18+ card).  Additionally attendees must also provide a clear colour photocopy of this documentation.  Attendees can either:\n–  Provide their identification on arrival to the course and our administration team will arrange a scan of this identification for filing\, or\n–  E-mail a clear colour photocopy of their identification to the administration team (online registrations will receive an email from our team after registration). \nCertificate awarded:\nAn IATA Certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course and an assessment to participants who obtain a grade of 80% or higher on the exam.  A special distinction is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 90% or higher.
