DESCRIPTION:Dangerous Goods Management presents a 1/2 day course available for those needing training as part of the CAA Rules Part 109 for Regulated Air Cargo Agents (RACA).  Part 109 requires an organisation to have security controls in place\, and that every person involved in a RACA related security function is appropriately trained.  This course provides practical information for anyone involved in the security of international air cargo and mail carried on a passenger aircraft.  Note that this training is only part of the requirements under Part 109; attendees will also need to obtain a favourable Aviation Security check and be trained in the specifics of their role\, as per the company’s RACA Exposition. Subjects that are covered within the course include:\n\n**Please note session time for this course is:  9.00am – 1.00pm** \nKey Topics:\n–  Principles and application of the Rule;\n–  Screening standards and procedures;\n–  Threats to Civil Aviation;\n–  Tamper evident controls;\n–  Facility requirements and Quality Assurance;\n–  The Enforcement and Compliance regime;\n–  Responsibilities of the Regulated Air Cargo Agent (RACA) and others;\n–  Known and unknown customers;\n–  Authorisation procedures;\n–  Declarations and Documentation. \nWho should attend:\nStaff involved in the security and handling of all international air cargo carried on a passenger aircraft. \nDocumentation required:\nAttendees are required to present a form of photo ID at the course (drivers licence\, passport or 18+ card).  Additionally attendees must also provide a clear colour photocopy of this documentation.  Attendees can either:\n–  provide their identification on arrival to the course and our administration team will arrange a scan of this identification for filing\, or\n–  e-mail a clear colour photocopy of their identification to the administration team (online registrations will receive an email from our team after registration). \nProvisions:\n–  Detailed workbook\, pen and paper will be supplied.\n–  Refreshments will be provided.\n–  Free onsite parking on a first in first served basis. The attendee will also need to obtain the following:\n–  Aviation Security Check Clearance\,\n–  Be trained in the specifics of their responsibilities as per the Company’s Exposition\, and\n–  Hold authorisation to carry out whichever functions are appropriate to their role. \nAssistance:\nPlease advise our team (in confidence) before the start of the course of any physical or learning difficulties you\, or in the case of employers\, your employee\, may have e.g impairments with mobility\, visual\, hearing and/or speech\, or difficulty in reading and writing. If trainees have difficulties during the course they should not hesitate to talk to our training team. \nCancellation terms:\n–  Should a course transfer be required\, this will be provided free of charge for the first transfer only\, ensuring advised prior to 7 days before the course.  All subsequent transfers for a course booking will result in a $50+GST administration fee under the same conditions. Additional roadside parking available. \nCertificate awarded and post-course requirements:\nOn successful completion of this course the attendee will be awarded a Regulated Air Cargo Agent Security Training Course certification as specified in Civil Aviation Rule Part 109.63.  This training certificate will be valid for a three year (36 month) term.  Dangerous Goods Management will also issue an ID Card as a part of training certification\, if required\, therefore a photo of the attendee will be taken on successful course completion. \nThis training is only part of the requirement to carry out a security control function in relation to your company’s RACA Certification\, refer CAA Rule Part 109. The attendee will also need to obtain the following:\n–  Aviation Security Check Clearance\,\n–  Be trained in the specifics of their responsibilities as per the Company’s Exposition\, and\n–  Hold authorisation to carry out whichever functions are appropriate to their role. \nAssistance:\nPlease advise our team (in confidence) before the start of the course of any physical or learning difficulties you\, or in the case of employers\, your employee\, may have e.g impairments with mobility\, visual\, hearing and/or speech\, or difficulty in reading and writing. If trainees have difficulties during the course they should not hesitate to talk to our training team. \nCancellation terms:\n–  Should a course transfer be required\, this will be provided free of charge for the first transfer only\, ensuring advised prior to 7 days before the course.  All subsequent transfers for a course booking will result in a $50+GST administration fee under the same conditions. Course attendance must be completed within six months of the initial booking.\n–  Cancellations or course transfers made on or after 6th October 2026 will be subject to a $125+GST cancellation/transfer fee. DESCRIPTION:Dangerous Goods Management presents a 1/2 day course available for those needing training as part of the CAA Rules Part 109 for Regulated Air Cargo Agents (RACA).  Part 109 requires an organisation to have security controls in place\, and that every person involved in a RACA related security function is appropriately trained.  This course provides practical information for anyone involved in the security of international air cargo and mail carried on a passenger aircraft.  Note that this training is only part of the requirements under Part 109; attendees will also need to obtain a favourable Aviation Security check and be trained in the specifics of their role\, as per the company’s RACA Exposition. Subjects that are covered within the course include:\n\n**Please note session time for this course is:  9.00am – 1.00pm** \nKey Topics:\n–  Principles and application of the Rule;\n–  Screening standards and procedures;\n–  Threats to Civil Aviation;\n–  Tamper evident controls;\n–  Facility requirements and Quality Assurance;\n–  The Enforcement and Compliance regime;\n–  Responsibilities of the Regulated Air Cargo Agent (RACA) and others;\n–  Known and unknown customers;\n–  Authorisation procedures;\n–  Declarations and Documentation. \nWho should attend:\nStaff involved in the security and handling of all international air cargo carried on a passenger aircraft. \nDocumentation required:\nAttendees are required to present a form of photo ID at the course (drivers licence\, passport or 18+ card).  Additionally attendees must also provide a clear colour photocopy of this documentation.  Attendees can either:\n–  provide their identification on arrival to the course and our administration team will arrange a scan of this identification for filing\, or\n–  e-mail a clear colour photocopy of their identification to the administration team (online registrations will receive an email from our team after registration). \nProvisions:\n–  Detailed workbook\, pen and paper will be supplied.\n–  Refreshments will be provided.\n–  Free onsite parking on a first in first served basis.
