HSWA Workplace Chemical Handling Training, Comprehensive/Certified: 26 July 2018***SOLD OUT***

Delivered in partnership with Dangerous Goods Compliance (DGC), this course provides training in line with the new Hazardous Substance Regulations.  The previous concept of Approved Handler has been replaced with Regulation 4.5 and from 1st December 2017 any staff who handle, store or use hazardous substances, regardless of the quantities, will now require to be trained under Regulation 4.5.


This full day course is compliant with the Hazardous Substance Regulations 4.5.


On 16th July venue amended to Jet Park Airport Hotel, 63 Westney Road, Mangere.  Originally was scheduled to be held at Holiday Inn. 

Who should attend:

This course is designed for sites with multiple classifications such as:

[li]Inwards goods handlers (warehousing, retail, etc)[/li]

For sites with Class 6: Toxic Substances (e.g. 6.1A, 6.1B) a HSWA Certified Handler Certification is also required and training is provided within this course.  This requirement must be stated upon course booking as additional documentation is required to enroll at this level.   Toxic Substances (e.g. 6.1A, 6.1B) include the following:

[li]Gases – Chlorine[/li]
[li]Corrosives – Hydrochloric Acid[/li][/list]

Documentation required:
Attendees to this course will be required to show a form of photo ID at the course (driver’s licence, passport or 18+ card).
If HSWA Certified Handler Certification is required further documentation will be required. Documentation for completion will be provided upon registration.

Certificate awarded:
On successful completion of this course one OR two certificates will be issued depending on requirements:

1. Certificate of Training

2. HSWA Certified Handler Certification

Cancellation/transfer terms:
Should a course transfer be required, this will be provided free of charge for the first transfer only, ensuring advised prior to 7 days before the course. All subsequent transfers for a course booking will result in a $30.00+GST administration fee under the same conditions. Course attendance must be completed within six months of the initial booking.

Cancellations or course transfers made on or after Thursday, 19th July 2018 will be subject to a $200.00+GST cancellation/transfer fee.  Cancellations/transfers within 48 hours of the course date or non-attendance, once registered, without notification will incur full course cost.

Course Refreshments:
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided as part of this course, and dietary requirements can be catered for. Please ensure this is advised when booking.
