HSWA Workplace Chemical Handling Training, Comprehensive / Certified *Sold Out*

Delivered in partnership with Dangerous Goods Compliance (DGC), this course provides training in line with the Hazardous Substance Regulations that came into effect on 1st December 2017.  Any staff who handle, store or use hazardous substances, regardless of the quantities, will now require to be trained under Regulation 4.5.  This course is for sites with multiple Classifications and for sites with Class 6: Toxic Substances (6.1A and 6.1B) HSWA Certified Handler Certification is also required, as per Regulation 4.3, and training is provided within this course.

Venue:
This course is not scheduled at our usual venue.  This course is being held at JET PARK AIRPORT HOTEL, MANGERE, AUCKLAND

For sites with Class 6: Toxic Substances (e.g. 6.1A, 6.1B) a HSWA Certified Handler Certification is also required and training is provided within this course.  This requirement must be stated upon course booking as additional documentation is required to enroll at this level.   Toxic Substances (e.g. 6.1A, 6.1B) include the following:[list style=”style6″]
[li]Liquids – Isocyanates[/li]
[li]Gases – Chlorine[/li]
[li]Corrosives – Hydrochloric Acid[/li][/list]

Please Note: The certification of Certified Handlers does not include agrichemicals, veterinary medicines, fumigants and vertebrate toxic agents.

Documentation and pre-course requirements:

[li]All course material is supplied[/li]
[li]Attendees to this course will be required to show a form of photo ID at the course (driver’s licence, passport or 18+ card). [/li]
[li]An Assessment of Prior Learning document will be provided upon booking. This document is required to be completed and returned prior to course commencement. [/li]
[li]If HSWA Certified Handler Certification is required a Letter of Competence will be required and details for this will be provided upon course booking.[/li][/list]

Certificate awarded:
On successful completion of this course one OR two certificates will be issued depending on requirements:

1. Certificate of Training

2. HSWA Certified Handler Certification

This certificate will be valid for 60 months (5 years) from course completion. Please Note: The certification of Certified Handlers does not include agrichemicals, veterinary medicines, fumigants and vertebrate toxic agents.

Course Refreshments:
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided as part of this course.  Dietary requirements can be catered for within the provided lunch ensuring this is advised upon booking.  The following dietary requirements can be catered for: dairy free, gluten free, no pork/beef, and vegetarian.

Cancellation/transfer terms:
Should a course transfer be required, this will be provided free of charge for the first transfer only, ensuring advised prior to 7 days before the course.  All subsequent transfers for a course booking will result in a $30+GST administration fee under the same conditions.  Course attendance must be completed within six months of the initial booking.

Cancellations or course transfers made on or after Thursday, 6th June 2019  will be subject to a $200+GST cancellation/transfer fee.
Cancellations/transfers within 48 hours of the course date or non-attendance, once registered, without notification will incur full course cost.
